Von Miller Expects to Play in Season Opener for Buffalo Bills 10 Months After ACL Injury

Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller has expressed confidence in his recovery from the ACL injury he suffered in his right knee last season. He said he expects to play in the season opener on September 11th, approximately 10 and a half months after the injury. Miller said he loves guarantees and wants to play. In 2013, he had surgery on his ACL in January and played at the beginning of August in the preseason, which put him at around seven to eight months of recovery. Miller is now 10 years removed from that injury and has a better outlook. He said he feels great, comfortable, and ready to go at the start of the season.

Miller Trusts His Team and is Ready to Face the Jets

Miller is aware that he would be facing Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in the season opener, provided he is able to get back on the field. However, he trusts the Bills’ GM, athletic trainers, team, and owners to decide when he is ready to play. He wants to be ready for Week 1 against the Jets, but if it is not possible, he will be ready by Week 6 for sure. Miller said he would do everything he can physically, mentally, and emotionally to be ready for the game.

Miller’s Career Achievements

After signing a six-year, $120 million deal with the Bills, Miller recorded eight sacks and 21 tackles while forcing one fumble in 11 games last season before suffering the injury on Thanksgiving Day against the Lions. Miller is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro with a total of 123.5 sacks, 561 tackles, 27 forced fumbles, and nine fumble recoveries in 161 career games with the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, and Bills.

Miller has expressed confidence in his recovery from the ACL injury and expects to play in the season opener for the Buffalo Bills. He trusts his team to decide when he is ready and is willing to do everything to be ready for the game against the New York Jets. Miller has had a successful career, and his return to the field will be highly anticipated by fans and teammates alike.
