FA Cup Final Manchester Derby Kicked Off at Earlier Time Due to Security Concerns

The highly anticipated FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United, which was originally scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. local time, has been moved to an earlier kick-off time of 3 p.m. local time due to security concerns. The English Football Association (FA) revealed the change of schedule on Wednesday, citing the advice of local police who had deemed the fixture a “high risk.”

After the conclusion of the semi-finals last weekend, the Metropolitan Police, the FA, the local authority and other partners have held discussions to ensure the safety and security of the game. The decision to move the game to an earlier time was made following these discussions.

This move marks the first time in 12 years that the FA Cup final will start at 3 p.m. local time. The Women’s Champions League final in Eindhoven, Netherlands, which was set to coincide with the original kick-off time, will no longer clash with the highly-anticipated Manchester derby. The change of schedule will also ease transportation concerns in London, with Beyonce’s sold-out tour taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the same night.

FA Cup Final Between United and City

The FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United is set to be an exciting and highly-anticipated match. It will be the first time the two teams have faced each other in an FA Cup final. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side reached the final with ease after a 3-0 victory over Championship outfit Sheffield United in the semi-finals. Manchester United, on the other hand, secured their place in the final with a shootout victory over Brighton on Sunday.

The fixture is one of the most highly-anticipated matches of the season, with both teams bringing their best players to the field. Fans of both teams are expected to attend the game, and the change of schedule has been made to ensure their safety and security. It is hoped that the event will be a great success and that fans will be able to enjoy the match without any security concerns.
