Lakers’ Anthony Davis Probable to Play in Game 6 Against Warriors

Los Angeles Lakers’ star player, Anthony Davis, is expected to play in Game 6 against the Golden State Warriors despite a head injury. Coach Darvin Ham confirmed that Davis did not enter the concussion protocol and is listed as probable to play.

Davis suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Game 5 when he was hit in the side of the head by Golden State’s Kevon Looney. He was taken out of the game and did not return, but was cleared by the medical staff and did not show any signs of injury.

Although the Lakers are officially listing Davis as probable, a source close to him has confirmed that there is “no scenario” where Davis will miss Game 6. From his previous performances, Davis has been a key player for the Lakers, averaging 22.4 points on 58.1% shooting, 13.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.4 steals in the series.

Ham expressed his relief at the news that Davis is cleared to play, saying that he is “the centerpiece of what we’re trying to do on both sides of the ball and for us just in general for our success rate.” He also added that the team will not be making any major adjustments to the lineup and will focus on playing better with the same group of starters.

The Lakers currently lead the Western Conference semifinal series 3-2 and will host Game 6 on Friday night in Los Angeles.
