Manchester City Celebrates Historic Treble Win with Street Parade

Manchester City celebrated their historic treble win of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League with a parade through the streets of Manchester on Monday. Despite the rainy weather, fans flooded the city centre to show their support for the team. Manchester City is only the second English side in history to achieve the treble, making the occasion even more momentous. The team rode on an open-top bus, showing off their three trophies to the adoring fans.

Players Join In on Celebrations

The parade started with City players spotted on the subway before arriving on the main stage to hoist the trophies, dance and embrace each other. The team celebrated with champagne and cigars, with Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland pouring champagne on shirtless Jack Grealish. Fans also joined in on the celebrations, with one fan even getting a tattoo immortalizing the historic treble achievement.

Guardiola and Grealish Take the Mic

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reached the main stage, saying “We had to have the best parade with this rain or it is not Manchester!” before a shirtless Haaland came dancing on with the rest of the squad. Jack Grealish, who joined the team from Aston Villa last year, took the microphone to say “I’m the turkey, and the turkey needs feeding!” before taking a swig of a bottle. Players showed off their dance moves, and John Stones even strutted on top of the City bus.

Despite the rain, the parade was a lively celebration of Manchester City’s historic achievement. The team will be looking to defend their titles next season and continue their winning streak.
