Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns orchestrated a trade, sending Chris Paul to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Bradley Beal. In a separate deal, the Golden State Warriors traded Jordan Poole to Washington, acquiring Paul in return. The Memphis Grizzlies were also part of the action, facing the news of Ja Morant’s 25-game suspension and subsequently trading Tyus Jones as part of a three-team trade to secure Marcus Smart from the Boston Celtics.
