Change. Accelerated. Live.: Formula E’s Leadership and Innovation Platform

The inaugural showcase event of “Change. Accelerated. Live.” was held last year before the London E-Prix double-header, and it will once again take place on Friday, 28 July, at ExCeL London. This event aims to unite the brightest minds from various sectors, including motorsport, politics, and education, to provide unique insights into pioneering sustainable innovations. Julia Palle, Formula E’s sustainability director, describes it as a leadership and knowledge-sharing platform that goes beyond the key topics of technology, innovation, and sustainability. Last year’s event received positive feedback from the attendees, leading to its return this year with a revised approach.

Expanded Approach

To further enhance the impact of “Change. Accelerated. Live.,” the organizers introduced “mini conferences” in new locations throughout the season, including India, South Africa, and Brazil. These additions to the Formula E calendar demonstrate the event’s growing significance and global reach. The 2023 edition will feature renowned guest speakers such as Alejandro Agag, co-founder of both Formula E and Extreme E, Claire Williams, former Williams Formula 1 team principal, and David Richards, chairman of Motorsport UK. Additionally, three current Formula E teams, Abt Cupra, Maserati, and McLaren, will be present, along with partner Bloomberg.

A Platform for Connection and Collaboration

“Change. Accelerated. Live.” offers delegates the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals from diverse sectors and backgrounds. Julia Palle emphasizes the immense networking potential of the event, particularly for those in the motorsport and automotive industries. It allows participants to establish critical connections with solution providers and learn from best practices. Moreover, the event brings together key business and governmental stakeholders, providing a forum for collaborative discussions on challenges and opportunities in the field of sustainability.

In addition to the knowledge-sharing aspect, attendees will also have exclusive access to the inner workings of Formula E race teams. They can explore the pitlane and witness firsthand the on-track action during the opening practice session from the grandstand. Palle emphasizes that the event caters to individuals working in technology and innovation, as well as those focused on sustainability. It serves as a platform for showcasing the Formula E Championship’s expertise and knowledge within its ecosystem. The participation of numerous teams and partners further validates the event’s appeal and relevance.

“Change. Accelerated. Live.” is not merely a conference; it is a transformative experience that brings together leaders and innovators from various fields. By fostering collaboration, sharing insights, and promoting sustainable practices, the event propels Formula E’s mission of driving change and accelerating progress towards a sustainable future. As Formula E continues to expand its reach and influence, “Change. Accelerated. Live.” stands as a testament to the power of collective action and the potential for positive change through innovation and collaboration.
