The New York Knicks are heading to the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time in a decade after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-95 in Game 5 of their first-round series. The Knicks were able to close out the series without All-Star forward Julius Randle, who reinjured his left ankle late in the second quarter of Game 5. Randle will be reevaluated on Thursday, and his status for the next series is uncertain. The Knicks will face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks-Miami Heat series, which could potentially set up an interesting matchup between Thibodeau and former player Jimmy Butler.
