NFL Player Cam Robinson Facing Potential Suspension for Drug Policy Violation

Sources have revealed that Cam Robinson, the left tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars, could be facing a suspension for multiple games after breaching the NFL’s drug policy. The length of the suspension is yet to be determined, as the NFL is still awaiting the results of Robinson’s B sample. This would be Robinson’s first offense, and the length of the suspension will depend on the prohibited substance found. Robinson could face a suspension of two, six, or eight games. If Robinson is suspended, he will lose $888,888 for each game he is suspended.

Possible Changes to the Jaguars Lineup

Robinson signed a three-year, $52.75 million contract extension in May and missed the final three games of the 2022 regular season and both Jaguars playoff games following a knee injury. The Jaguars’ general manager, Trent Baalke, stated on April 20 that Robinson would be ready for training camp. If Robinson is suspended, the Jaguars will likely replace him with Josh Wells, whom they signed to a one-year deal earlier this month. The team would move Walker Little from right tackle to left tackle. Little has already started eight games in Robinson’s place over the past two seasons due to injuries.

DaVon Hamilton, the Jaguars defensive tackle, has signed a contract extension with the team. A league source has revealed that the deal is worth $34.5 million over three years, with $23 million guaranteed. Hamilton had a successful 2022 season, setting career highs in tackles, sacks, and starts. He was the Jaguars’ third-round pick in 2020.

In conclusion, the potential suspension of Cam Robinson has raised concerns among the Jacksonville Jaguars management. If Robinson is suspended, it could change the team’s lineup and affect their performance in the upcoming season.
