Daly expressed his astonishment at the incident, stating that it was “crazy” to witness a loose wheel on the racing line. He questioned why a caution flag was not immediately given when Robb’s car was visibly struggling to return to the pits. However, Daly noted that this time he was able to see the wheel coming towards him, unlike in his previous experience. Daly reacted quickly by applying the brakes and turning the wheel at the last second, narrowly avoiding the wheel by just six inches.
